MUMBAI: Twelve places attacked, more than 125 people, including six foreigners, killed, close to 300 injured, scores of people held hostage by assailants in two premier hotels, widespread fear among people.
Smoke billows out of the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, one of the two hotels attacked by terrorists in Mumbai, yesterday. Blasts and gunfire ripped India's financial and commercial hub, killing more than 100 people, including some policemen. Security officers killed a number of the attackers, too. AFP
